About this program

Main instructors of the courses are Prague based, while students of the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism, Split will be co-instructed by professors from our Faculty. The classes will be delivered in the classroom at the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism, Split where students will be joined by the local instructor of the individual course. Each week, there will be two 90-minute sessions (90 min and 45 min held by the main instructor, and 45 minutes held by the local instructor), which should add up to 20 contact hours per course. The teaching language of all courses offered by the CERGE-EI Foundation is English. However, there is flexibility in using the native language when delivering exercise sessions by local instructors.

Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism, Split is part of the CERGE-EI Foundation's Distance learning Programme launched to live stream bachelor’s and master’s level courses to universities across Eastern Europe and Central Asia in line with its mission to strengthen economics education across the region. The objective of the project is to provide specialized, advanced courses. The Prague-based faculty are western-qualified and the courses are taught in English. They are supported by faculty at the participating institutions.
The courses are delivered online from CERGE-EI’s Digital Media Center and live-streamed to multiple locations. Faculty are also able to teach from home if the pandemic situation demands. Equally, students at participating universities may attend these classes remotely.
The simultaneous participation of several universities encourages interaction between students in different countries, encourages comparison and motivation as well as enables students to experience an international classroom in a home environment.
